Mom took us to visit Aunt Lou in Pensacola where we would go to Captain Holiday's Recreation Center during the day. I have great memories of this. Captian Holiday had prize boxes lining a shelf and one kid was selected each day to pick a box. We all understood that one of the boxes contained something really nasty that we would have to eat if we got it. I was never selected to pick a box and I never saw anyone get the nasty box. The center was on the beach and Captain Holiday had several play boats in the sand dunes that we would play in. We pretended to be pirates, sailors and treasure hunters.
